Proprietor Jacques Seysses is one of the most outward-looking, progressive vignerons in Burgundy, someone whose viticultural research has helped push the region into the modern age and whose philanthropy has provided others to achieve their own dreams. The domaine is a young pup compared to some of the other well-known Burgundy names, established in 1967 by 26-year old Jacques Seysses with the acquisition of 4.5-hectares of vineyard owned by Domaine Marcel Graillet. Since 1986, Domaine Dujac has sought to minimise the use of chemicals through lutte intégré: combining the benefits of organic and biodynamic viticulture to enhance micro-biological life in the soil and maintain an ecological balance. Present holdings include five Grand Crus: Clos-de-la-Roche (1.95ha), Clos-Saint-Denis (1.47ha), Charmes-Chambertin (0.8ha), Echézeaux (0.69ha), Bonnes- Mares (0.43ha). There is also: Gevrey-Chambertin aux Combottes (1.15ha), Chambolle-Musigny les Gruenchers (0.33ha), Morey-St.Denis 1er Cru (0.54ha), Chambolle-Musigny (0.53ha), Vosne-Romanéle les Beaumonts (0.25ha), Morey-St.-Denis Village Rouge (2.63ha) and Blanc (0.58ha). www.dujac.com
